PREFACE

US CRICKET LEAGUE (USCL) HEREBY DEFINES TEAM GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS. THE MANAGEMENT ALONG WITH COMMITTED OPERATING MEMBERS/CAPTAINS SHALL EXERCISE IN ALTERING THE RULES AS PER TIMES AND SITUATIONS DEMAND.

1.   TEAM REGISTRATION

NOTE: THE LEAGUE SHALL BE OPEN TO ALL TEAMS WILLING TO JOIN EXCEPT FOR THE ONES SPECIFICALLY BANNED DUE TO VIOLATION OF LEAGUE LAWS OR SEVERE VIOLATION OF SPIRIT OF THE GAME.

1.1         Any cricket team seeking membership in the League shall make a written application, which can be submitted electronically or paper-based as available.

 

1.2         First-time entry team must be referred by at least one existing member team or a member of the USCL Management.

 

1.3         Every team agrees to pay the tournament fee by due date upon receiving notification from the league.

 

1.4         Every team must have its own equipment, such as bats, pads, gloves, helmets, stumps, mat, and other protective equipment.

 

1.5         The league mandates batsmen to use a helmet and should any player refuse during the game, the league is not liable for injury/fatality claims.

 

1.6         Each team agrees to maintain the team roster on league specified website and retain all statistics for future reference.

 

1.7         Each team agrees to buy their team liability and medical insurance coverage and add league name in the addendum 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the tournament.

 

1.8         Should any team forfeits 2 or more matches from tournament schedule, a warning and/or notice of removal will be cited. Additional forfeits or lack of participation shall lead to immediate removal and permanent ban of the team from the league. The team at fault shall forfeit the tournament fee or other fees paid in advance.

 

Note: All team membership applications shall be subject to approval by the USCL Management and the team will be notified within 2-3 business days from the day of submission.

2.   TOURNAMENT FEE REQUIREMENTS

2.1         Tournament fee shall be announced past the registration deadline. The fee is pursuant to the number of teams and projected costs based upon various costs; Team’s hosting ability and other factors that may arise later.

2.2         Tournament fee must be paid by the deadline set per Tournament calendar. Any team not complying with fees shall be excluded from Tournament participation past the deadline.

2.3         In the event where a member team from a previous year decides not to continue its membership with USCL for the current year, the team is expected to clear all dues with the League. If the team has an outstanding balance due, no players from that team will be allowed to participate in USCL matches until the balance is paid in full.

3.   TEAM - REPRESENTATIVE

3.1         The team shall designate one point of contact/representative before the beginning of the tournament and shall be addressed as Team Representative.

 

3.2         Team Representative shall be responsible for all communications to/from the league, Tournament fees, team and its player requirements on time.

 

3.3         The team shall notify the league should there be the change in the Team’s representative.

 

3.4         Team Representative shall raise the concern/complaint with League Management via email within 48 hours of a reviewable incident.  

 

4.   TEAM - PLAYER REQUIREMENTS

4.1         Each team must have a roster of at least 15 players and a maximum of 30 players on its roster.

 

4.2         Each team is responsible for providing the roster of all player names to the league before participating in any USCL games.

 

4.3         A team can field playing 11 only from the eligible players on the roster.

4.4         Team Representative shall be responsible for Player registration online/paper and comply with all means as required by the league         and by the deadlines set in Tournament calendar.

 

4.5         If a team registers and fields any players from a team that is no longer a member of USCL and has an outstanding balance, the             offending team will be fined $50 for each instance and will automatically become liable for the amount due to USCL by the previous         team of the said player/s.

 

4.6         No player shall be registered for more than one team in the league. No team will solicit or encourage player of another participating       team’s player to switch to their own team.

 

5.   TEAM - GROUND PERMIT & HOSTING ABILITY

5.1         Team must make arrangements for a dedicated home ground, which does not conflict with the home grounds of existing member’s teams. If a team does not have a home ground then, depending upon the ground availability across the league, it may be allowed as a traveling team (i.e. playing all its games as away games).

5.2         Every team is required to host half of their scheduled matches. A team without ground resources is required to pay additional fee of $25 per match or a lesser capped amount determined by the league.

5.3         A team with ground resources is required to provide a full mat, stumps, bails, and Johnny on the spot or other toilet equipment on the ground premises.

6.   TEAM - UNIFORMS REQUIREMENTS

6.1         A team is required to have unique uniforms and league may assign a color code to avoid similar/duplicate uniforms by two teams.

6.2         It is team representative's responsibility to provide appropriate uniform prior to fielding the players.
